2 x 2Lbs. Ion Faucet Kangen E - CLEANER CLEANING POWDERRegular e-cleaning helps maintain your machine's performance by removing mineral buildup and ensuring clean, high-quality water production. Follow along for easy, step-by-step instructions to keep your K8 in top condition!Step-by-Step InstructionsTo begin, navigate to your machine's menu and select Settings > E-Cleaning. When prompted, confirm that you'd like to proceed with the cleaning instructions. You’ll need two scoops of E-Clean Powder, a cleaning tank, and a cleaning cartridge with a red plug (which you should have received as part of your order). Preparing the Cleaning Solution Open the Cleaning Tank and pour two scoops of citric acid powder inside. Fill the Tank with water from your Kangen machine. Any water setting is fine since the water will be neutral pH7, which is ideal for cleaning. Mix the Tank Vigorously to thoroughly mix the citric acid powder with the water. Secure the Lid on the tank, ensuring the chunkier side of the lid faces down for a snug fit. Installing the Cleaning Tank Remove the Lower Section of your machine and take out the electrolysis enhancer tank. Insert the Cleaning Tank into the slot where the enhancer tank was removed. Follow the machine’s instructions to remove the filter and ensure both O-rings are present during the removal and when installing the cleaning tank. Lock the Cleaning Tank in place, then install the cleaning cartridge and cap the secondary hose as instructed. Starting the Cleaning Cycle Once the cleaning tank and cartridge are in place, your machine will run an internal cleaning cycle for 3 hours, using the citric acid solution to decalcify the electrolysis plates. This process is crucial for maintaining the machine’s performance, as the electrolysis plates are responsible for ionising your water. Finishing the Cleaning ProcessAfter the 3-hour cleaning cycle, follow the prompts on your machine to reverse the process. This includes: Removing the Cleaning Cartridge Reinstalling the Standard Filter Ensuring all parts are securely in place Finally, run your machine on the Clean Water setting for 5 minutes to flush out any remaining citric acid solution. The rinse water is safe for your garden or plants, as it contains just a small amount of citric acid. Regular Maintenance Tips Regular Cleaning: For regular use, run an e-clean 2-3 times a month. Daily Backflush: Run beauty water for 10 seconds daily to help prevent calcium buildup on the plates. Order yours today!
